Fife and Lower Largo can easly be reached from Europe by flying to Edinburgh or
by using one of two ferry crossings:
In addition to Lufthansa, Air France, KLM and SAS, the following low-cost carriers fly to Edinburgh.
It is quite possible to reach the cottage by train and bus but you really do need a car to make the most of your visit. Directions to Lower Largo: Take the road out of Edinbugh heading north for the Forth Road Bridge and stay on the motorway (M90) till the exit heading for Kircaldy on the A92. After about 20 miles, there is a big roundabout. Take the exit to the right heading for Kircaldy. Follow the signs for Leven and St.Andews (A915). Lundin Links is about 3 miles beyond Leven. When you reach Lundin Links, turn right off the main road towards Lower Largo. Watch out for the bank on the corner and a signpost for the harbour and other attractions. Follow the road - it starts to descend towards the harbour, when you see the signpost for Lower Largo you are almost there in Drummochy Road. Cluny Cottage is number 32. See the streetmap |
