Lower Largo ist ein von einer Reihe von attraktiven Fischerdörfern in "East Neuk" - neuk ist schottisch für Ecke.

beach at low tide The beach is three-minutes walk from the cottage. You can walk all the way along the coast to Elie in about 3 hours and catch the bus back.    There is an excellent pub with superb food - the fish and chips is a must.

The cottage a slightly to the left and the local pub and restaurant are both to the right accross the bridge.
The Railway Inn is about 500 m from the cottage, situated under the old viaduct and has a good selection of ales and malts.
Quiz night is once a week on Thursdays and for the summer there is a secluded beer garden behind the building.
The Crusoe Hotel is also worth a visit. It has a bistro and a restaurant.
