Fife und Lower Largo sind vom Europa aus leicht zu erreichen, entweder per Flügzeug über Edinburgh oder per Schiff mit einer der zwei Fährverbindungen:
  • Zeebrugge - Rosyth ferry mit Superfast Ferries  Der Hafen von Rosyth ist nur 45 Minuten Autofahrt vom Lower Largo entfernt
  • Amsterdam - Newcastle ferry mit DFDS  Der Autofahrt ab Newcastle dauert etwa 3 Stunden.
Edinburgh Flughafen leigt eine Stunde Autofahrt vom Cottage entfernt.
Neben Lufthansa, Air France, KLM and SAS, fliegen folgende Billgfleiger nach Edinburgh. :
  •  EasyJest   plane  fliegt nach Edinburgh vom Belfast, Bristol, East Midland, London Stansted, Gatwick, und auch vom Barcelona, Dortmund, Genf, Madrid, Mailan und München.
  •  Ryanair   fliegt Edinburgh vom Bremen, Dublin, und Frankfurt (Hahn)an.
  •  Germanwings   fliegt Edinburgh vom Berlin, Köln-Bonn, Dresden, Leipzig, and München an.
  •  TUIFly   fliegt nach Newcastle (nicht mehr nach Edinburgh!) vom Hannover aus.

Largo kann mit Bus und Bahn erreicht werden. Im Dorf sind einige kleine Läden vorhanden aber ein Auto ist sehr zu empfehlen. Am Edinburgh Flughafen sind die übliche Autovermieter zu finden.

Directions to Lower Largo:
Take the road out of Edinbugh heading north for the Forth Road Bridge and stay on the motorway (M90) till the exit heading for Kircaldy on the A92. After about 20 miles, there is a big roundabout. Take the exit to the right heading for Kircaldy. Follow the signs for Leven and St.Andews (A915). Lundin Links is about 3 miles beyond Leven. When you reach Lundin Links, turn right off the main road towards Lower Largo. Watch out for the bank on the corner and a signpost for the harbour and other attractions. Follow the road - it starts to descend towards the harbour, when you see the signpost for Lower Largo you are almost there in Drummochy Road.
